Boiler Replacement Scheme
Closed to new applicants. The Housing Executive is honouring approvals already issued, but is not taking new applications. If you were hoping to use it, the Affordable Warmth Scheme is now the main route to a funded boiler.

Who qualifies
- Historically: owner-occupiers with household income under £40,000 and a boiler at least 15 years old
- No new applications are being accepted
What it covers
Previously funded replacing an old boiler with an efficient condensing oil or gas boiler, or switching to gas.
How to apply
You cannot apply. If your income is under £23,000 (or £35,000 with a disability benefit in the household), apply to the Affordable Warmth Scheme instead. Otherwise check NISEP's current heating schemes.
Many websites still list this scheme as open. It isn't — check the Housing Executive's grants page for the current position.

Will the Boiler Replacement Scheme reopen?
There has been no announcement of it reopening. The Warm Healthy Homes Fund, due from April 2027, is expected to replace the Housing Executive's current grant schemes.
